About
Communities aren’t just groups of people—they’re ecosystems of engagement, collaboration, and influence. When built intentionally, they spark meaningful conversations, drive innovation, and create lasting impact.
For community builders, this means designing spaces that feel engaging, authentic, and sustainable. For small and medium business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, and even indie creators, it’s an opportunity to connect authentically with audiences, co-create experiences, and amplify their brand without shouting or spamming.
That's why Diogo César & Nina Simone have teamed up to create Cobuntu. A platform where communities become co-creation engines of aligned sustainability.
In our new monthly online series - the Community Campfire - we will share free practical strategies and insights drawn from real-world experience: how to cultivate organic growth, boost engagement, and maintain sustainable communities that thrive over time. You’ll learn how to harness these principles whether you’re nurturing a membership, growing a business, or both—and why community-driven collaboration is the future of authentic growth.
Join us at the Campfire and see how communities can become a force for connection, collaboration, and growth—for you and the people you care about.
Agenda
Welcome & Community Structure Reflection
17:00 — 17:15
We invite our participants to reflect on how their communities are organized: Do members take initiative? Do sub-groups form? Do people churn when they branch out? We gather responses to ground the conversation in real challenges.
Keynote by Stewart Noakes
17:15 — 17:30
Stewart shares how Canopy Community works as a peer-to-peer ecosystem for founders and makers. He reveals how distributed communities thrive, with real examples of member-led initiatives and solutions.
Nina & Diogo's View on Sustainability
17:30 — 17:40
We explore why peer-to-peer communities are more sustainable than hierarchical ones. The key insight: letting go of control is the secret to building something that lasts.
Goals & Aspirations
17:40 — 17:50
We invite participants to envision where they want their communities in 12 months and commit to one action this week. We connect people with similar goals for post-event collaboration.
Q&A & Closing
17:50 — 18:00
Open Q&A with speakers and participants. Final reminders: follow us on social media, register for February's event on "Co-Creation with Brands," and Stewart's interview will be posted in Cobuntu.
